What do you think about Jennifer Aniston’s stone? It doesn’t have any sparkle in the pictures I’ve seen. “People” magazine estimates that it’s “between 10 and 20 carats.”

    1. It certainly looks like 20 carats but it’s difficult to judge a stone by photographs, especially photos taken with a long paparazzi lens. In general, I would say it is very rare for a 20 carat stone to be of high color or clarity. Celebrities’ purchasing habits tend to differ significantly from collectors. Private collectors seek excellence and rarity whereas most celebrities would rather go for size–of course, there are always exceptions.

…the best thing about ovals is that if you have larger hands (like me) – you can set if east-west for better finger coverage!

I agree about ovals being the next “it” shape. Cushion halos are starting to become pedestrian and women are going to want something different and special. Also Amber Rose former girlfriend of Kanye West has a beautiful oval engagement ring.
