Fall Transition Jewelry

 

As summer winds down, many of us have long begun to plan our fall wardrobes.  There is of course, that awkward time between sweaty summer and the crispness of fall where we are all hanging in sartorial limbo–the days when our summer garb is still taking up space in the closet waiting for one final heat wave, yet we’re just itching to wear next season’s finds.  In such instances, transitional pieces are key.  A light jacket or sweater over a multi-purpose dress work well, provided one doesn’t pile on the jewelry.  In the limbo days, cluttering with too much jewelry on top of the layered duds tends to make one look like one is begging for heat rash.
